News24USA.Com Desk, New York : Today, Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson joined the Bronx Tourism Council, the Bronx Economic Development Corporation, the Business Initiative Corporation of New York, Popular Bank, and others to host the Savor the Bronx Restaurant Week Press Conference Launch, celebrating the Bronx’s rich, diverse culinary offerings and beloved local eateries.
Savor the Bronx Restaurant Week 2026 will run from Monday, July 6th, to Sunday, July 12th, highlighting the incredible range of cuisines offered by both new and longtime Bronx restaurants, aligning with the excitement of the FIFA World Cup and inspiring residents and visitors alike to support small businesses throughout the borough. Participants can choose from a host of restaurants and access their pre-fixe menus at www.ilovethebronx.com.
The press conference was held at Drips Restaurant in the Northeast Bronx, a participant in this year’s Savor the Bronx, offering Caribbean food in an elevated atmosphere, including Salmon Rasta Pasta, fried shrimp tacos, and island-style appetizers.
“Savor the Bronx is our borough`s restaurant week that highlights the rich, diverse cuisines in our communities. From seafood on City Island to Italian food in Little Italy, Caribbean food in the Northeast Bronx, and amazing Latin cuisine in the South Bronx,” said Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson. “The over 40 participating restaurants this year are small business owners and entrepreneurs who are contributing to the success of our borough and solidifying our reputation as a global destination. A borough where residents and visitors alike can explore new flavors, support our small businesses, and experience the unmistakable energy that makes the Bronx a culinary destination. A special thank you to the Bronx Tourism Council, the Bronx Economic Development Corporation, the Business Initiative Corporation of New York, Popular Bank, and all of our media partners and participating restaurants for their support in making this year’s Savor the Bronx the best one yet.”
“Savor the Bronx / Bronx Restaurant Week reflects the strength, creativity, and cultural richness of our borough’s small business community. Our restaurants are not only vital economic engines but also anchors of neighborhood identity and pride. Through initiatives like this, we are driving foot traffic, increasing visibility, and creating meaningful opportunities for local entrepreneurs to grow and thrive. We are proud to partner with the Bronx Borough President’s Office to celebrate and support the hospitality sector, which continues to play a critical role in the Bronx’s economic vitality and long-term prosperity,” said Winston Peters, Executive Director of the Bronx Economic Development Corporation.
“We are truly honored and excited to host the 2026 Savor the Bronx Restaurant Week Press Conference and Launch Event at Drips Restaurant and Lounge. Drips was built out of a dream to create a warm, family-friendly space where our community could enjoy the flavors of Jamaica, the Caribbean, and the cultural richness that makes the Bronx so special. To welcome Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson, the Bronx Tourism Council, and so many partners here in Wakefield is a proud moment for us. Savor the Bronx is more than a restaurant week; it is a celebration of small businesses, culture, community, and the incredible culinary talent found throughout our borough. We are grateful to be part of that story,” said Lesley Hope, Spokesperson for Drips Restaurant and Lounge.
“Savor the Bronx Restaurant Week is a celebration of one of New York City’s most vibrant and diverse dining destinations. From longtime neighborhood favorites to exciting new restaurants, the Bronx is home to an incredible hospitality community that reflects the borough’s rich cultures and entrepreneurial spirit. We encourage New Yorkers and visitors alike to discover a new favorite restaurant and support the local businesses that create jobs, strengthen neighborhoods, and make our city so special. We’re proud to support Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson and the many organizations helping showcase everything the Bronx has to offer,” said Andrew Rigie, Executive Director, New York City Hospitality Alliance.
Savor the Bronx returned last year after a brief hiatus during the pandemic and is now celebrating 15 years of highlighting Bronx restaurants. A full list of participating restaurants can be found here. Restaurants still interested in participating are encouraged to visit www.ilovethebronx.com.
